About us
The Church of the Immaculate Conception in Copperton, Utah, has a rich history rooted in the early settlement of the area and the growth of the Catholic community, with its roots going back to the 1890's and the establishment of the parish in 1910.
The Church of the Immaculate Conception was established as a parish in 1910, with the first mass celebrated in a home.
A church was built in Bingham Canyon in 1930, followed by another in Copperton, in 1949, when the town of Bingham Canyon was buried with the expansion of the mine.
The present church was built in the neighboring town of Copperton in 1949.
The parish continues to serve the Catholic community in and around the area, providing worship, religious education, and outreach.
Today we pride ourselves on our family friendly Mass, social justice and gatherings in the parish hall.
